East Cape Health Center is the certified and designated organization to provide disaster relief in the Los Barriles community.

Our affiliation with the local police and Cruz Roja (Red Cross) allows us the opportunity to provide emergency medical response and crisis intervention when needed.

The closest hospital to the East Cape area is over an hour away. Our ambulance is aging and while we are grateful for the generous donations of medical equipment, we have limited basic life support equipment. In a critical situation, our "golden hour" is gone long before we reach a hospital. Newer equipment would enable us to improve our patient's odds of survival.  

Our wish is to have a cargo trailer that is equipped with emergency supplies in the event of a natural disaster and mass casualties.
